Having read the headlines and realizing where things are going can be a very nerving thing for people these days. Things at times and of-times seem to be out of control. Those in power don't seem to have all the right answers to face these things and certainly as a Bible Believer we realize those in power do not base their decisions on the Lord who created it all. If I were an unsaved man I sure would be of all men most miserable however on July 22, 1983 I trusted Christ as my saviour and today I base my eternal salvation on the Lord Jesus Christ who has me holden in my hand. My salvation is as sure as the sun coming out every morning. As a Believer whose saved and sure of eternal salvation I know I can live through the times that were facing in society. In the Lord there is hope. It's natural to desire to be in control of things, but things today are out of our control. They are beyond the reach of our ability. We can only do so much, therefore we must look to God and wait on him to carry us through these times. In days like these instead of fighting against the reality of Almighty God why not surrender to him for salvation and submit to his guidence. He only can get you through "Days like These"

What people consider priceless varies based upon the individual. Priceless meaning that it is so valuable that nothing else can compare to it. Some people consider a recreational item to be priceless: like a boat or a motercycle, or a four-wheeler. Others hold priceless certain hobbies or skills, while still others an occupation or the making of alot of money. In the Bible we read of God approaching a man and making him an offer Im sure most anybody would want. God told Solomon, "Ask what ye will" Solomon having a genie bottle of an opportunity could have asked for money or fame or certain possessions, however he instead asked for something that would take many by storm. He asked for wisdom. Certain people would think what a waste of opportunity. Why ask for wisdom when he could have had the world? Interestingly enough, God gave him Wisdom beyond the measure any man other than Christ would ever possess this side of eternity and he gave him the world also. God blessed Solomon exceedingly because Solomon did not take advantage of God. You see, to Solomon wisdom was a priceless possession. Do you value wisdom that comes from the Lord? If you had the opportunity of asking one thing from the Lord would it be for wisdom from the Lord. No wonder our lives are miserable and messed up. It's a direct result of some unwise moves and decisions on our part.\ Make wisdom from the Lord your most priceless possession. No wonder Solomon emphasized wisdom in the Proverbs. No wonder he wrote Ecclesiastes to tell us that everything outside of the will of the Lord is a vanity of emptiness. Solomon learned in an ever increasing manner that WISDOM from the Lord is the most priceless possession anyone could possess. PASTOR SCHALK
