Can you believe it the holidays are upon us.     Soon we will see another year pass and a new year forthcoming.     It's apparent that the prospects of this year are distinctly different than the previous for the times we are living in.

As believers we must always stay mindful of the reason for the season yet even more so while we see the days approaching we must share the reason for the season to those who have lost sight of it.

May the Lord richly bless you this holiday season and in advance have a Happy Thanksgiving and a very Joyous God-centered Christmas.

Psalm 136:1

1 O Give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.

Looking over the span of time not only today but also historically in the times before us we can see the hand of God's mercy upon mankind.

Inspite of all the problems and troubles of our country and the society around us, God has been merciful .

Can you imagine what life would be like without the merciful hand of God upon our nation ?

We need God's mercy in our lives as we have seen it historically as a nation.    We as sinners before a holy God know what we deserve yet God in his mercy is ready to forgive and to bless us if only we would urge upon him to do so.

If you have yet to be biblically saved according to the scriptures then may I urge you to call upon God in his mercy to save you.

If you are saved you have experienced the Mercy of God yet maybe you have drifted from God would you call out to God and beg him forgive you of your departure from him.

Daily we need the mercy of God and should everyday cry out to God for it instead of just taking it for granted.    If we do that then can we by experience also as the Psalmist did say, "O Give Thanks unto the Lord for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.

WHAT A NEW YEAR CAN BRING ?

Just when you thought you have seen it all something new comes along to become the next new drama or dilemma in your life.      The Bible tells us there is nothing new under the sun however we frequently are amazed in witnessing things that were previously foreign to us.

That in mind we must ask ourselves what will the new year bring to us.     Will it truly be a happy new year or will we come to dread the things that have come upon us.      As we reflect back upon the previous year we saw some major downturns to our country.      Looking at it perspectively we are more and more realizing the end times are at the threshold of coming to be.     I just read of how the European nations are demanding a meeting of 20 plus major economies to discuss and reform their economic policies.    Knowing the Bible teaches in the book of Revelation a one world government we can see how that we are on the very brinks of our coming home date as believers.     Truth is we may not make it through another year here on earth and if we do it may not be a pretty departure but this know it will be a sweet homecoming for all the biblically saved of God.

"Believers be ready, You may be headed home to Jesus in the new year and maybe sooner"

Isaiah 6:9-11

9 ¶ And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

ENJOYING CHRIST AT CHRISTMAS

The Christmas season comes around only once in a year.   Enjoy it while its here.   Some people dread it for many reasons.   Some dread the increased traffic it draws.  Others dread the attitudes it creates while still others dread it for the extra hours they will have to put in at the workplace and the hassles with increased customer hassles at their respective stores.

Regardless, of what it is that tends to cause you to dread the Christmas holiday rather for this one purpose to enjoy it whatever it takes.     One way to do that is to draw ever-increasingly close to Christ during this time.     Increase your personal devotions time.     Seek to read the Word of God till he touches your heart with a sentimental and significant truth then pray back to God in a personal way so as to sense his presence with you.

This Christmas time don't let the dark side steal your joy for remember.    The Joy of the Lord is your strength.

Lets welcome this forthcoming new year with the Joy of the Lord and Be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might.
