HOW TO KNOW YOU
ARE GOING TO HEAVEN
1. ACCEPT THAT YOU ARE A
SINNER.
(Romans 3:23), "For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:10), "As it is written, There is none righteous,
no, not one."
No one is perfect. No one has lived up to God's perfect
standard.
2. ACCEPT THAT AS A SINNER
YOU OWE A PENALTY.
(Romans 6:23), "For the wages of sin is
death ... ."
(Ezekiel 18:4), "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
This death is described in the Bible as the second death,
the lake of fire,
(Revelation 20:l4), "Death and hell were cast into the lake
of fire. This is the second death."
If we pay what we owe as sinners, we must spend an eternity
in the lake of fire (Hell).
3. UNDERSTAND THAT CHRIST
HAS ALREADY PAID FOR YOUR SIN
(Romans 5:6), "For when we were yet
without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."
(Hebrews 2:9b), " . .that he by the grace of God should
taste death for every man."
Christ was not a sinner, and the Bible teaches that God took
all of our sin and placed it on Christ. While Christ was
bearing all of our sins in His own body, God punished Him in
our place to pay the debt we owe. This is not something God
promised to do. It is something God has already done.
(John 3:16), "For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life."
(II Corinthians 5:21), "He hath made him to be sin for us,
who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him."
It is a fact, Jesus Christ has already paid your sin debt.
4. ACCEPT BY FAITH WHAT
JESUS CHRIST DID FOR YOU
(John 3:36), "He that
believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of
God abideth on him."
In this verse. Jesus divides the world into two groups:
those who are believing and those who are not believing on
the Son. Those who believe have everlasting life, and those
who believe not shall not see life.
The word believe means to trust, to depend on, to rely on.
To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept
the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the
sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay
the debt you owe. But it means going one step further. It
means that you will completely trust Christ to get you to
Heaven - that you will put the matter of your salvation in
His hands and depend on Him for everlasting life.
Now the moment you do this, God promises you are not
condemned but have everlasting life and that you shall never
perish.
(John 5:24), "Verily, verily, I Say unto you, He that
heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but
is passed from death unto life."
If you will trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, pray this
simple prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I deserve to pay
my own sin debt, but I do believe that You died for me to
pay the debt that I owe. Today, the best I know how, I trust
You as my Saviour. I will depend on You from this moment on
for my salvation, Now help me to live for You and to be a
good Christian. Amen.

**SEE MY TESTIMONY BELOW MY CARD**

The Lord
used in my life the death of a classmate in High School to
lead me to himself.
On Graduation
night in June of 1980 while attending a late evening
graduation party tragedy struck.
Two classmates
took a boat on the lake behind the cottage house we were at
and while out on the lake
the boat
capsized and only one classmate made it back to shore while
the other drowned. I had been
asking my
classmates what they were going to pursue now that they had
graduated and prior to the drowning
I asked this
classmate the same question with the remark that "God had
given her a desire to work with
children"
After long search the rescue squad could not find any signs
of my classmate in or around the
waters so they
concluded the search to the next day.
I remember seeing a host of this classmates
family
gathered and kneeling not knowing what they were doing, I
later found out that they had prayed that
either she be
found or that God would use her death to bring a classmate
to salvation. I watched the next day
at the lake as
they pulled my classmates life-less body out of the water.
As they did I remembered what
she had told
me the night before that God had given her a desire to work
with Children. Over the
next day I
really stewed over this event and at the funeral I felt a
tug to go forward at the invitation but
hesitated
because of what other classmates might think.
My family was not at all acknowledged to
God or the
things of God.
Inspite of not going forward to be dealt with at the funeral
I continued to be bothered concerning the
thought of
death and eternity and I knew I needed some answeres.
I drove to a
classmates house and he basically told me that if I pray to
the Lord he'll save me and
If I refuse
that I'll go to a place called hell.
I prayed basically for fire-proof assurance but lived
with doubt
even though getting into church and participating in church
ministries. Two years after having
prayed with my
classmate God dealt with me again concerning the "REALNESS"
of my salvation
using Romans
10:10 "for with the heart man believes unto righteousness"
and Matthew 7:21-23
21 ¶ Not every
one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my
Father which is
in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name
have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works? 23 And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Having
realized that all I was doing in thinking I was saved was in
vain---
I then from
my heart purposely received The Lord Jesus Christ to be
my carrier to
get me to Heaven----His Blood would be sufficient to
remove the
contamination of sin that would other wise prevent me
from spending
an eternity in heaven
II.Corinthians
5:21
21 For he hath
made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God in him.

LIFE ---

Below and Prayerfully Evaluate Yourself concerning your
salvation
ARE YOU
GENUINELY BIBLICALLY CERTA IN YOUR SAVED ?
How can I
become a Christian?
One of the simplest statements of how to
become a Christian is found in Romans 10:9 where we read:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you
will be saved(emphasis added).
Thus, one becomes a Christian by believing in the gospel
(that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily
from the dead on the third day). This is not mere
intellectual agreement, but believing "in your heart" or
trusting and depending on these truths.
What will happen if
I believe (place my trust in) Christ?
When a person
believes the gospel in his heart, he becomes a Christian.
Because of the person's acceptance of Christ's death on the
cross as payment for his own personal sin, the barriers
previously created by that sin are removed. He now has free
access to God the Father through prayer because of what
Christ's death accomplished on the cross.
CONFESS
PRAYERFULLY THAT BELIEF OF HEART BY ASKING THE LORD TO
SAVE YOU
ROMANS 10:13
"FOR WHOSOEVER
SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD
SHALL BE SAVED
(V-9 BELIEVING IN YOUR HEART)
JOHN 1:11-12
11 He came unto his own, and his own
received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the
sons of God, even
to them that
believe on his name:
The instant a person believes numerous things take
place in the spiritual realm. We'll mention just a
few of those things here:
There is joy in heaven. The
person is granted eternal life, is adopted into God's
spiritual family, and a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP is established
between the new believer and God. Even as a new believer,
the person can claim God as Father and boldly come before
Him in intimate prayer and fellowship. It is God's desire
that the person will seek Him regularly and develop that
relationship to even greater depths of intimacy and
fellowship. The Westminster Catechism puts it this way, the
purpose of life is "to know God and enjoy Him forever."
Why should a person accept Jesus Christ as
personal Savior?
1. God's Love--God
loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with
you.
Key Verses:
For God so loved the world, that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should
not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Love is from God...for God is Love....We love because He
first loved us. (1 John 4:7,8,19). See also 1 John 4:9-10.
I came that they might have life, and might have it
abundantly (John 10:10).
Related verses: John 17:3; Psalm 139:13-14; Isaiah 49:15-16;
Zephaniah 3:17.
Why is it that so many people don't have
a personal relationship with God?
2. Your Sin--
Your sin keeps you from having a personal relationship with
God.
Key Verses:
For ALL have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
They have ALL turned aside; together they have become
corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one (Psalm
14:3).
For the wages of sin is DEATH(Romans 6:23). Note: Here
"death" means eternal separation from God.
But your iniquities have made a SEPARATION between you and
your God, and your sins have hid His face from you so that
He does not hear (Isaiah 59:2).
Your
personal sin has separated you
from God. From a human perspective,
you are without hope. Is there a solution
for this dilemma?
3. God's
Provision--Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for your
sin.
Key Verses:
Christ DIED for our
sins,...He WAS BURIED, and...He WAS RAISED on the third day
according to the Scriptures(1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
I am THE way, and THE truth, and THE life; NO ONE COMES TO
THE FATHER, BUT THROUGH ME (John 14:6).
For there is one God, and ONE mediator also between God and
men, the man Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5).
Speaking of Christ: THERE IS SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE; for
there is no other name under heaven...given among men, by
which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Related verses: John 3:3; Romans 5:8; Isaiah 53:5.
Since Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for
your sin, what must you do to have a personal
relationship with God?
4. Your
Choice--You must personally place your faith and trust in
Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.
Key Verses:
But as many as
received Him, to them He gave the right to become children
of God, even to those who believe in His name (John 1:12).
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of
works, that no one should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be
saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in
righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in
salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed....Whoever
will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans
10:11,13).
Are you ready to accept Christ and begin a
personal relationship with God?
5. Your
Decision--You
can receive Jesus Christ right now as your Savior and Lord
and begin your personal relationship with God.
You can express your desire to have a personal relationship
with God through prayer. Prayer is simply talking to God, so
the act of praying doesn't save you; it is the attitude of
belief in the heart expressed through prayer or confession
that God hears and honors with salvation.
The following prayer or confession is just a suggested
guide. God is concerned about your heart attitude more than
your exact words.
Suggested Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I realize that I'm a sinner and separated from
You. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and
rose again. I acknowledge my need for forgiveness and open
the door of my heart and life to You. I receive You as my
Savior and Lord. Thank you for coming into my life,
forgiving my sins, and giving me eternal life. Take control
of my life and change me into the person You want me to be.
Help me to grow in my new relationship with you. Amen.
If these words express your desire, then read the words
again thoughtfully while agreeing with God in your heart
concerning each point. Then thank the Lord for what He has
done for you and for your new relationship with God through
His Son, Jesus Christ.
What should
you do next?
6. Become
Grounded in Your Faith --
Your
assurance of eternal life is vitally important; it is the
foundation for building a confident and growing relationship
with God.
Study and
memorize verses that confirm what God has done in your life.
God has given us
eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the
Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does
not have the life. These things I have written to you who
believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that YOU MAY
KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE (1 John 5:11-13).
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never
perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My
Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and
no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I
and the Father are one (John 10:27-30).
I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you
(Hebrews 13:5).
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides
in him, and he in God (1 John 4:15).
Related verses: 1 Peter 1:3-5; Jude 24; Philippians 1:6;
Colossians 1:27; Colossians 2:13-14.
Other aids to
spiritual growth and stability:
Read your Bible daily. If you are
new to Bible reading, start with the book of John.
Attend a good church
where the Bible is taken seriously and
Christ is honored (Hebrews 10:25).
Pray daily.
Prayer is talking with God, so be natural, honest and
conversational. Tell God your concerns, pray for the needs
of others and ask for His guidance and help.
Realize that you will fail, make selfish mistakes, have
times when you have a bad attitude and sin in a variety of
other ways. When you realize that you have sinned, confess
it and then claim God's forgiveness and move on. Satan will
attempt to make you feel that God has not forgiven you and
keep you defeated. Read 1 John 1:9 and then memorize it.
Claim it daily when you realize that you've sinned.
